  • Basic Function
    • To implement the Maliaka & Associates leadership curriculum with a variety of children, teens and young adults in order to create and sustain the quality of life one would want and build relationships with peers. To teach leadership to individuals with social deficiencies through structured teaching and natural opportunities.
    • Qualifications
      • Actively pursuing a higher education degree 
    • Responsibilities
      • Implement daily concepts, based on the leadership curriculum, of a given individual in the community or public setting. 
      • Apply positive behavior support techniques for students who exhibit problematic behaviors. Techniques should include: 
        • Proactive strategies and environmental arrangements
        • Teaching of replacement behaviors and other adaptive behaviors
        • Use of reinforcement and appropriate schedules of reinforcement
        • Responding to behavior using techniques known to reduce the likelihood of future occurrences
      • Submit your timesheet in a timely fashion on the 15th and end of each month. 
      • Attend Maliaka & Associates staff trainings every month
      • Maintain high level of professionalism at all times while representing Maliaka & Associates. 
      • Maintain participant confidentiality by using client codes (first 3 letters of last name followed by first 3 letters of first name) and avoiding disclosure of any identifying information while around non-staff members.
      • Notify program director of any participant/caregiver misunderstanding or discord within 12 hours of occurrence
      • Report suspected or observed abuse immediately report to program director using an incident report, which can be found in the office. 
      • Follow all policies and procedures specified within the Employee Handbook
        • Vacation Requests and Illness Policy
          • For vacation requests, please ask your direct supervisor for substitute options as soon as you know you will be leaving town. Fill out a vacation request form at least 2 weeks prior to your leaving and have this signed off by program director and any other director you work under. 
          • Within 24 hours of your leaving, please send the substitute an email with client information, activity ideas, and any changes in schedule. Please CC the direct supervisor. 
        • Notify direct supervisor immediately, when sick and will not be attending scheduled appointments or events. Supervisor will find coverage.
