Candidates who currently work for the Department of Education unfortunately cannot be hired due to a conflict of interest. However, if you have previously worked with the DOE, you may still be eligible.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (5 hours per day - Varies by school) Please keep in mind that we are looking for a long term education specialist. If hired, you will be making a commitment until at least June. This is not a temporary position.

We are looking for subject tutoring and Regents Prep tutoring. Candidate must have experience taking regents or tutoring regents. Specifically, candidate must understanding High School level Earth Science and Biology curriculum.

Road 2 Graduation provides academic handholding support to students in jeopardy of not graduating. You will be working alongside the student support advocate to support scholars in completing all required work for the school semester/year.

Responsibilities: 
o Helping students learn and understand new concepts and complete assignments.

o Prepare plans to help scholars stay on track of their work.

o Follow up with classroom teachers to ensure scholars have completed school work.

o Help scholars complete all projects and assignments.

o Assisting scholars with regents prep and implementing new test-taking strategies.

o Assist scholars with completing credit recovery courses such as Apex.

  • Must have at least a High School Diploma.
  • Spanish/Bilingual PREFERRED
  • Experience in tutoring, working with students, and familiarity with Google Classroom.
  • Must be proficient in all high school subjects: Math, English, Science, and History (General Studies).
  • Must be able to pass our assessment. This ensures that our students are well-equipped to pass their Regents exams.
  • Must be able to tutor for Regents Prep.
  • Must be located in NYC and able to travel between boroughs.

Job Type: Part-time (10-25 hours per week)
Pay: $25.00-30.00 per hour (Depending On Experience)
